GREE New Energy partners with PT Hamparan Bumi Mas Abadi (PT HBMA) and Cenergi on the Hamparan project in Lampung, Sumatera, Indonesia. The collaboration is part of our efforts to generate clean energy, clean up industrial waste and combat climate change. The biogas-to-energy facility will supply clean and reliable energy directly to PT PLN’s grid.
In November 2018, the groundbreaking of Hamparan project started with dredging of the site. The biogas plant will officially operate early 2020.
The Hamparan project will generate more than 18 GW of electricity, with 37,489 potential people reached with clean and reliable energy in Lampung, Sumatera, Indonesia and expected to reduce 65,236 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
