At Gree Energy, we believe in engaging our stakeholders to unlock the full potential of biogas to deliver positive impacts for people and the planet.

In line with our commitment, we are inviting an array of stakeholders to participate in a public consultation event for the Implementation of the Biogas Farm 2 project  scheduled for 28 February from 10:00 – 13:00 at PT. Greenfields Indonesia Farm 2, Wlingi, Blitar.

The Biogas Farm 2 project aims to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by capturing the methane gas produced from the digestion of cows manure and wastewater of the dairy farm, thus avoiding methane emission which would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. The resulting biogas is then combusted to produce electricity for internal consumption.

The proposed project which reduces GHG emissions seeks to also obtain Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) and will be registered according to the Verra carbon standard. To fullfill this requirement, stakeholders are invited to discuss the project design and its potential social, economic and environmental impact.

Information related to the proposed projects are available for viewing here: Stakeholder Consultation_GFI_Material.

Through these dialogues, we envision a future of biogas that delivers everlasting impacts for the communities and stakeholders we serve.
